June 4, 2009: U.S. special envoy for climate change Todd Stern tells the ThinkProgress Wonk Room that the Waxman-Markey clean energy and climate legislation is both necessary and sufficient to the task of building an international climate treaty and preventing catastrophic global warming ("This is what can be done"). Stern recognizes that the United States has to catch up to the rest of the world: "We're starting later! It's unfortunate, but it's just the reality. We can't rewrite the last eight years, so we're starting later."
This guy is unlikely to say AGW or Man Made climate change is a hoax. It's his job to say it's there, otherwise there's no job.
