Whatever happened to Steve Pear? His playing is amazing - definitely my favorite 4Skins guitarist... And gotta agree w/8jollyroger - the drumming in this song is flawless.

Does anyone know what happened to Martin Dean, the Sounds photographer who specialised in Skinheads at that time? I must appear in loads of his pics. When he got attacked at the Bridge House once, they actually leaned over me at the bar to punch him. He was mistaken for a journalist who paid a pound for a Seig heil pose and the skins were sick of the negative press.

I think I was at this gig, It was at some politechnic upstairs in Whitechapel in 81. Also saw them at the Bridge House in Canning town as well as the Cockney rejects, Cock Sparrer, TheBusiness. Still have a Rejects Drumstick with West Ham ribbon attached.

@killingnuman I assure you it wasn't the usual lot at Oi' Fest. It was the few Nazis that got 4-skins cancelled for their first USA appearance. Unfortunately, after waiting since '82, I got to hear them on a cell phone a 100 miles away from the venue the next day at noon. On my way to work, unlike the jobless nazi hammer skin cunts that stopped something I had been waiting for since '82.. FUCK YOU EASTERN HAMMER BASTARDS. Useless wastes of white flesh..

oi! oi! oi! motherfuckers!!!

Racist my arse, working class lads. Oi was always left wing and most of the time it was about the music, beer and chasing women while watching your football team lose to the local rivals. I loved Oi, ska and the two tone movement. Bollocks to racists, listen to the music, the press used to think Madness were racist they obviously never listened to "Embarrassment".
