Me messing around with a Gamecube Action Replay code (available at arcentral.net) that lets you put the temporal uplink and time grenades in a custom weapon set for arcade use. The game will freeze if a bot picks the uplink up, which is why I have the barricade in the way of my erstwhile partner. The game will also freeze if you try to use the gravity grip in an arcade map, which is why I didn't use it here. (EDIT: I have since discovered that the gravity grip works fine in mapmaker arcade maps, only so long as you don't have any weapons in the map that are set to respawn on pickup... Wished I'd have known when I made this video, or I'd have used it... showing that will have to wait until I have my next assault map uploaded). Both items will save to the profile's chosen custom weapon set when the match is over, so that after it's saved, you don't need the AR to get them again. It should be theoretically possible to put time grenades in a story map, but a code for that has not been developed. Possibly directly hex-editing a map save to substitute time grenades for one of the weapons in the mapmaker custom weapon set for the map might work, if anyone might know how to do that.

Also, I later found out that picking up the Time Grenades will make the game freeze UNLESS you have already picked up another weapon and are carrying it at the time you pick up the time grenades. If you are weaponless, picking up the Time Grenades will freeze the game.

  • The temporal uplink and time grenedes is on here PAL version or download only PAL version?

  • @venon371 Its a code you get from arcentral; I know its available for the US version (because I show on US version); you will have to check arcentral"dot"net to see if there is a code for the PAL version (different regions generally require separate codes I think)

  • Any way you can do this on a ps2 action replay disk?

  • @DjSodee I think action replay for PS2 only has game saves (somebody at Datel sits there and unlocks things by playing the game normally, and then that save is put on a disc) and not actual game-hacked cheat codes like were possible on Gamecube. I could be wrong about that, but anyway there's no code for it on PS2.

  • @admiralhowdy DAmn, thank anyway though. I just remember how there were a few hacks for timesplitters 2 like walking through walls and freezing time, but they never included it for future perfect :/

  • It's a shame that I lost my European Action Replay disc. I could've done this myself...

  • TNT?

  • Yes, the xbox AR isn't even used for code cheating, it's only good for trading save files

  • there is an action replay for xbox. but you can't get any cheats like this. you can only get this cheat for gamecube.
