Thanks you. It sounds like a good place to start.

I believe Axiom being especially ideal with Pro Tools is no accident, just as with the advent of Lion came a sudden incompatibility with Eleven Rack's Pro Tools bundle, i.e.,versions under 9.4 will not work with Pro Tools. My Eleven Rack came with 8.0.3. Anyway, I find it small coincidence the most competitive DAWs (Logic vs Pro Tools) work least well with one another yet have little to no trouble with the rest. Corporate warfare is bad enough when it doesn't effect the consumers, but this sucks

@marekconnell AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
AHAHHAHAHA LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!! " I'm considering seeing whether my axiom knows how to fly from the 5th floor!" THAT HAS TO BE A LEGENDARY COMMENT!!! loool..... i prefer using the novation mk II.... it works well with 3rd party vst's n stuff... "auto map" -
@marekconnell From my understanding, when you start Logic it loads your control surface's settings and when you quit, it saves them. Make sure before you start Logic, your control surface is on, map your controls and quit Logic BEFORE you turn your control surface off. It might also be a good idea to back up this file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.appl
e.logic.pro.cs which is where your preferences for your control surface are stored. Hope this helps!! -
HELLOOOOOO - Logic users....can somebody tell us (I speak for the other lost logic souls) WTF is going on with the controller assignments disappearing after programme log out. Whats the deal please. I'm considering seeing whether my axiom knows how to fly from the 5th floor! Help
I am not exactly sure how you would go about that. I can tell you that it is not something that would be controlled from the axiom. The pitch wheel has a fixed increase, or decrease value, just like midi knobs do. The software then reads this value and changes the pitch accordingly. I think you would have to fiddle with yours software instrument on this one.

awesome video, i had kinda figured it out myself before but this made all my doubts disappear, except for one problem, why does Logic always freaking forget my MIDI controls?

You know, i am not really sure and it is extremely frustrating, i have been poking around for an answer but have not been able to find anything concrete. If you find something please pass it on over. Thanks!

I have had that occur to me a couple of times when i first set it up, i am not 100% on why it does that. I have a suspicion that it may be something with the Axiom, because if you go check your assigned MIDI controls in Logic it will say that it has learned those commands. Also, I have recently reset the parameters on my Axiom and after opening Logic the transport controls still worked, meaning that Logic does remember them. Keep making Logic learn them until it sticks i guess

will this work if the laptop an Midi are connected only via USB cord?

Yes it will work as long as your computer recognizes the keyboard
