@mikelheron20 should own the means of production and distribution. In practice, no country has managed to reach this and have wound up with state ownership - not at all what Marx had in mind. The opposite of socialism is capitalism and the free market (free of state control and intervention). Nazism was a collectivist philosophy - just like left wing socialism.

"Socialism is general term for the political and economic theory that advocates a system of collective OR GOVERNMENT ownership and management of the means of production and distribution." National socialism taught that everything should be owned by the state. He was opposed to private property - though he tolerated it for the twelve years he was in power. @aqueenowlbee Nazis were socialist ? .. lol just because they have the word socialist in their party name doesn't make it so. Hitler and the Nazis were anti-communist and anti-socialism. Hell, socialists and communists were some of the first to be sent to concentration camp.

i was saying that people here that want those things i consider as treason. canada is socialist, so is every other country...except America. dont think that socialism is an innocent thing to help people. it is a small tyranny. the nazis were socialist. marx said to instate communism it had an order, capitalist to socialist, then to communism. socialism is the middle road to communism. it can not go from soc. to cap. it can only go to comm.

@aqueenowlbee fair enough, you've pointed out yet another thing I forgot about Marx's writings, those were the truly inhumanly evil parts, but even the greatest minds did some horrible things that put the life of others in danger up to this day (e=mc2 ?!) P.S. you mixed communism with socialism there, dare to take a look at Sweden? or Canada? I doubt you'd say there's treason in those countries :)

@Szeba86 my friend marx. the philosopher. said in his communist manifesto, that to impliment communism one third of the population had to be wiped out. i assume in the particular area of where ever it is to be tried. marx who was a jew, hated jews. communism is pre-evil, it was not the people who came after that corrupyed it, it was evil from the very begining. marx summed up communisim in a sentance. abolishment of personal property. freedom of religion not of treason for me. i'm4freedom
