Storm in slow motion

Montage of slow motion scenes filmed around the south coast of Wellington, New Zealand during a wild storm on the 23rd of May, 2009.

Waves up to 14 metres and winds over 60 knots made for some pretty amazing clips including surfers at some of the more sheltered eastern bays and waves breaking over vehicles.

I love the rec. I used to bodyboard the lighthouse too. I live in the states now but man I miss the good southerly storms. Get a bike and surf the lighthouse. It's awesome!
