I hope this works. A commenter wanted a link to explain more about Qabala. This will take you to Wikipedia. I looked it over briefly and it seems to be avery good presentation on Qabalah. And the different spellings ACTUALLY HAVE SIGNIFICANCE. The link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qabalah is titled Hermetic Qabalah which is mainly what I had studied, but most of the members of my organization never specied the spelling to be associated as Wikipedia has down. QUOTE: "It is most often transliterated with a 'Q' rather than a 'K' or a 'C', distinguishing it from Jewish Kabbalah and Christian Cabbalah". Oops today is 17th of January not 18th In trying to understand what we humans are I thought of something that seems common to us all and that was OUR CURIOUSITY To me it seemed that God is also CURIOUS and so that we would not get TOO lost gave us QBL

  • It was a little confusing for me. I think you wanted to know more about the Quabala, whatever that is. I don't know anything about the Quabala.

  • Qabala (QBL - Qoph, Beth, Lamed) is Jewish Mysticism. The literal translation is "to receive" (from mouth to ear) which was the Oral Tradition. It was kind of like religious information that was passed down from generation to generation by the priests, but was not written down (at first).

  • I'm reading "Secret Teachings of All Ages." Wish me luck : )

  • Using the Qabala for mystical experiences is another facet. Lon Milo Duquette (noted scholar on the Qabala and magic in general) described the way it works as studying immensely complex relationships between everything and everything else until you go crazy in a socially acceptable way :-) I don't particularly agree with that appraisal, but it's possible.

  • Would it then be correct to interpret the commandment that says there is only One True God - as that is Me (I actually think of it as We or Us)?

  • Open-mindedness is a somewhat simple concept but sometimes not that easy for some, but I think has rewards that are not at first obvious. At least that's how I've experienced it - so far, and to the degree I have been able to apply it to.

  • I agree...the original meaning of sin as use in the scriptures...was "missing the mark" missing the point..which is your God. God and you are one, as Jesus put it in John 10:34. To say that your God is to say you are of the same substance...divine.

  • miss the mark can be abreviated to "mistake" for short which is how ACIM describes "sin" nothing more than a cause for correction.

  • ...or open our minds!
