4449 has a Hancock 3 chime on it. 700 whistle came off on a 900 class SP&S challanger.

A Hancock 3 chime would not have sounded right on the 10. Boiler pressure was only 170.

oh, I know they're loggers, but I was just curious because I haven't seen any preserved examples east of the Mississippi - but as soon as you get to the west coast, they're comparatively common.

Wow, a 2-8-2T

Did any 2-8-2T's operate outside of the Pacific-Northwest? I don't mean to sound ignorant, but its just that I've never seen photographs or anything of any 2-8-2T's operating anywhere else in the country other than in the Pacific-Northwest.

2-8-2Ts are logging locomotives, so yes they did run in other places around the US, but mainly in logging areas

They should look into putting a siding down at the end of the line so they can put the engine back up on the head for the return trip. It's a tank engine too so that'd work out nicely.

There actually is a siding at the end of the line, they just don't run to it

The image looks like you filmed it in widescreen 16:9 ratio and squeezed it to fit the 4:3 standard tv frame.
Very good video. I like the locomotive too.
