It's hard to understand Lucky Star if you're not Japanese since it's jokes are lost in translation. The English dub DVD's came with notes about it. And up until this day, I still do not understand most of it even though I have the "luxury" of watching it again and again. Don't get me wrong. It's a decent anime. It's just that it's geared toward a smaller group of people who are ever so hated by most of the world and Japanese alike. One such example is me.
