John J. Sweeney: "America is Headed in the Wrong Direction!"

On April 8, 2008, John J. Sweeney, President of the AFL-CIO, spoke at the U. of Baltimore Law School. He addressed a wide range of issues concerning Organized Labor's role in an evolving global-based economy. Mr. Sweeney said: "America is headed in the wrong direction!" He also sharply criticized the pro-corporate policies of the Bush-Cheney Gang, the cost of the Iraq War, the Finance/Credit Industry and the lack of basic health care for the vast majority of people.
