  • cool! i luv the crazy frog song! i like the saddlebred better than the dressage horse.

  • both are American Saddlebred Stallions. The "dressage horse" is called Harlem's Black Angle and the other one My Sweetheart's Masterpiece.

  • is that like a dressage saddleseat race thing? haha or like a demo of the breed like at the equine affair? confuusing..but pretty horses!

  • I have been taken this video on a Stallion Performance Show. It was only a demo by two stallions of the breed - to show the manifoldness of the American Saddlebred as a Dressage Horse as well as five-gaited horse

  • That guy stole my horse. We got her back though. if you want to hear the whole store PM mo or something

  • ??? Now I'm curious ...

  • this ISN'T tölting! :o only icelandic horses have it and it's obvious that the two ot them are not doing tölt at all..

  • þessi hestur er með þrístuðning á fótunum sem er algerlega rangt íslenskir hestar eru með aðeins tvístuðning á fótum!

this horse has three legs on the ground and that is completle wrong icelandic horses only have two!

  • saddlebreds dont tolt... the slow gait and rack darling.

  • @x3candiigrlxo No, its saddleseat. The horse is five-gaited meaning he can rack and slow gait. In this video he was racking.

  • That is not a tolt. It is actually called a Rack or Slow-gait. Saddlebreds are known for this high stepping fast pace that typically comes naturally. The one on the inside is riding saddleseat which is what saddlebreds are known for. Icelandic Ponies can perform a similar gait called the tolt. There is a slight difference between rack and tolt... hence the different names.

  • Its actually not a tolt, its called Slow-gait. Most Saddlebreds who rack and Slow-gait aquire thier skills naturally. The Icelandic ponies do have a similar gait called the Tolt and but there is a certain way that the Rack and Tolt differ.... making the name/breeds much diferent...

  • @SpeluEmpathy not only islantic horses have it actually it comes with elder breeds i ride basjkiir horses that has it and there is a breed which i dont remember the name of tölting like icelantic horses :) you can train a few "normal" horses to do it too if you have experience enough my trainer did

  • @SpeluEmpathy The icelandic horses are not the only breed that can tölt ;) The saddlebred horses can it too, naturally. But one thing that is not natural, is when people put on big and heavy "shoes" on them, they do it just so the horses lift up their legs higher (now I'm talking about the Saddlebred).

  • @SpeluEmpathy i know it is a slow gait

  • Tolt and rack are both names for ambling gaits: 4 beat footfalls. The difference in timing is small, the language barrier seems to be a bit bigger :)

  • Its the same gait, ya'll. Freeze frame it and you'll see. It is the same gait in a different language. It is probably the same gait in the same genetic material. It isn't much of a stretch to imagine the Icelandic Pony as the progenitor of the Narragansett Pacer, formerly found in Southern Canada and Northern New England. The Narragansett was the progenitor of both the American Saddlebred and the Tennessee Walking Horse. The Narragansett was shipped south and became the Paso Fino.
