I gave your vid a thumbs up rating for two reasons...First, your amazing mustang obviously! and second, you explained why your time was off. Most people don't care to explain or list their mods. Thank you for that and good luck with your awesome stang!!
and look now damckay75, a few small bolt ons, and you ran a 12.61 @ 109 naturally asperated... thats pretty damn good. cant wait to see that 12.4-12.5 in october.
i ran a 13.2 with just a cai, flash tune, hurst competition shifter, and borla axle backs. I should also add that my tires were in petty rough shape that night
Well, its not too shabby. I have had a few other Mustangs over the years mostly 5oh's and you had to do an awful lot to get them to go that quick. I can't wait to see what it will do after some mods.
As the driver of the s197 car I can tell you that the reason for the poor time was a missed gear, which you can actually see if you look close at the video. The nose of the car drops at the gear miss. I went on to run a 13.55 @ 103.44 mph that same night. The car is bone stock with the exception of Flowmasters and a drop in K&N filter. Thanks Kev. BTW for the vids. The guys at the club thank you!
The S197 GT looked like it had traction problems and the driver didn't know how to shift. The trap speed is very respectable and that should put it normally into the mid 13s bone stock.

As a fellow S197 owner, that time was very bad if that was sea level :-/. Way to go for the other GT though. :-)

It's interesting how even with a missed gear, your S-197 is still faster than most cars on the street!
