This is one great stallion. He was quiet in his stall all day long never a whinny from this guy when a mare would pass by.
As Ken McNabb says, this horse is athletic and can move out for being such a thick horse. He's a great boy. I really like this stud.

  • I should have you all understand that this is not a video in it's entirety....It's only a 5 mintue video of this "Sticky" Kiger Stud.

When working with a sticky horse, you can't just nag at them with a little tap, tap, tap. If that horse is not responding, one good whack is better than nagging taps.

By the time Mr. McNabb was done, he was able to teach the horse to canter by leg pressure and the kissing noise, no crop. He was also able to do a sitting stop without pulling on the reins.

  • Alright, hun the reason Ken McNabb is gettin after the stud so much is the lady had asked for his assistance with getting him to move his feet. He's not doing as he asks so he tells the horse to get moving. This boy was LAZY.

Mr. McNabb has worked with the stud's owner in the past and she along with many others and myself trust in his work.

As you can see towards the end, this stud has a nice stop and has learned to canter when asked and if he keeps cantering he will be left alone.

  • Whoever owns this horse ought to be ashamed of themselves for allowing this awful display. Hopefully they will seek education elsewhere on more effective way to work with a lazy horse. It certainly isn't this way.

  • Dear Mr Ken Mcnabb

I say this with hope that you are a true horseman. When training a horse i think that everyone should look back on the training methods that they used and reflect on them, they should think back and say...could i have done this better with a less force and have gotten the same result?

I'm not a fancy horse trainer that gets paid tons of money every year to endorse things. But i am saying that this could have done better, and with much less force.

  • wow, thats a horrible ride. just yanking around the reins and whipping... someone needs some propper ridinglessons

  • I dont get why he wont rise to the trot and when ever he asked him to canter he spanked him with the whip?
