I saw these guys at the Nashville Rooms circa 1979, and that's one show that really stuck with me for over 30 years. They seemed desperately untrendy at the time, but man, what a band. RIP Jackie L.
I played in a band that sometimes supported Doll By Doll. They were frightening, live. That good. I thought our music was more original than DbD, yes derivative, I thought. I was wrong. These are astounding songs built around genre. I feel honored to have had the chance to see Doll By Doll up close and terrifying.
Lob was their LIVE engineer at the time. I'm sure he was at the sessions but it's credited to Bill Price and te band (I'm listening to it as I write!)
@MrDangermouse10 lobby loyde !!! woe no wonder it sounds so good.

Recommended by a friend who remembers this era better than most.
Not my cup of Tea but probably good at the time.
Sounds a bit derivitative of other bands of that time i.e. Guitar riff, harmonies etc

I think Lobby Loyde produced this Album - a guitar god from Oz.
