Classical Legong Keraton and Other Authentic Dances by Gunung Sari troupe at Puri Agung Peliatan Palace, Ubud, Bali
The story is based on an actual event in the 12th and 13th century. Princess Rangkesari was abducted and forcibly courted by Prince Lasem. Rangkesari finds her fiancé is coming to rescue her and kill Lasem. Feeling sorry for her abductor, Rangkesari urges Lasem to set her free. However, he wants to fight her bethrothed Prince Kahuripan. On the way to the battle Lasem sees a raven which is a bad omen, and he neglects it. Lasem is killed in the battle with Kahuripan. Rangkesari returns to Kahuripan .
