  • @MrVijayanagar There is tremendous pressure for mining in The Peel and the Yukon government seems to be ignoring the people's wishes. You can find more information at protectpeel.ca.

  • enjoyed the vid i can see allot of comparison with social and cultural issues we currently face for environmental management in new zealand no to exploration and minning protect the resources of our ancesters and future generations kia kaha!

  • Some feedback on the video:

    (a) would have been interesting to learn more about the pressure that is being placed on the land. Are there proposals to mine? If so, for what?

    (b) i found it perplexing that no women were interviewed! would have liked to hear their voices too

    Thanks for posting!

  • I really appreciated this video - it was a glimpse into a world I've never witnessed. The video really highlights the importance of allowing communities to participate in decisions about how lands are used - for industrial scale exploitation (e.g. mining) or for alternative landuses (e.g. tourism, recreation, spirituality).
