Brendan Power & Alan Prosser play a tune originally composed by Brendan in an enforced stopover at Dallas Airport. Alan topped and tailed it with extra bits, and here it is! The very first recording at West Track Studios, Canterbury UK: http://westtrackstudios.co.uk/

  • Hi Brendan! Love this! When are you coming to the West Coast again?

  • The West Coast of where?

  • Hi Brendan -- this is Sylvia Tedesco in California. Loved the Dallas Airport Rag and wondered when you might be travelling our way again.

  • Hi Sylvia! Sorry, I wondered if you meant the West Coast of New Zealand. Will be in Sacramento in August for the SPAH harmonica Festival; hope to catch up with you and Sal then. Brendan

  • Hi Brendan! Love this song! I saw your post on Slidemeister about this song and using a special tuning.

When will your book be available that describes this tuning ?

Is there a CD with the book ?

I'm looking forward to buying it !

    Love your music !

  • Yes, the harp is in one of my own tunings. I'm writing a book on my harmonica tunings, and will describe them there with scale diagrams, tab, notes etc. Should be ready by late 2009. Brendan

  • WONDERFULL!!!! And I can two-step to it!! It warms my heart to know that good people are still making this great music! This just can't compare to todays rap and pop, this song is an instant classic!!

  • what harmonica is this?

  • Wandering around the empty terminal at 4am I found this awesome blue glass and sound sculpture, which is an even more amazing experience alone in a normally bustling major airport! Just wish I'd thought to bust out my harps in there! Ha! Anyway, love this clip - more greatness from you! And Prosser is fantastic as well, I gotta say!! Great to see and hear you in Sacramento! See ya around again, I'm sure! (And Sylvia - I hope we met at SPAH - I'm getting so bad with names etc. lately!) Bobbie G

  • Hey Brendan! EXCELLENT!!! Hard to keep up with all the great bits of your music posted on U2b, but I stumbled on this gem while wondering if anyone put up something about the very cool sonic art installation at the Dallas Airport called "Circling" by Christopher Janney. I too was held over(night) at Dallas, but it was 'after' SPAH 2009, which I now gather your delay was not. All my flights were crazy that trip - overnight stays in Atlanta & L.A. also, lost luggage at ALL THREE!! (continued)

  • I just cannot make up my mind which superlative to chose.

  • Great melody and what great complicity !

Brendan, would you please tell us what harp you're using and what key ?

  • Brendan, you're the most musical musician ever !

  • Oh boy! A new favorite musician! I love to listen to a good harmonica player!

    Thanks, Terri

  • yo brendan,
