I get it...I truly get it...my late Dad served under General Patton in Europe. A friend of mine and I sang this song as part of a music project senior year in high school. Also, no brag...just blessed...saw the Righteous Brothers in concert at Hampton Beach, NH back when we still had MUSIC!...Tunesmith

What a wonderful rendition. I was born in England at the start of the Second World War. I didn't know anyone else sang it but Vera Lynn. Beautiful. I think an American wrote it but am not sure. I equate this song with A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square. Thank you.

Indeed one of their best...

I hope everyone knows the Bobby Hetfield, as good as his version is, did not record this song first.

I 100% agree. This is the most beautiful and under appreciated of all the Righteous Brothers' songs.. It gives me chills..Bobby Hatfield is awesome and so missed.. RIP brother

Imagine my surprise when I purchased this album almost half a century ago, without knowing this fine treasure was within. It became one of my favorites then and remains so today.
One of my favorite and very underrated songs by the Righteous Brothers.
