HUNTINGTON, WV -- A former Huntington car dealer convicted of bank fraud and money laundering was sentenced Wednesday in federal court. While Fred Davis had faced 51 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to scheming BB&T bank out of $6 million, he was sentenced to serve 26 months and pay back $4.2 million. Davis spent six hours in court Wednesday as witnesses testified he didn't try to benefit from the scheme, but only to sustain his business.
