Congrats on getting into the sport. There are lots of variables that determine when and where the best places to fish are but for starters the docks are generally good this time of year. In the marsh watch for bait being pushed around in the AM and PM. Also, stop by Hook Line and Paddle on Eastwood Rd. and talk with Chris.

I live in Wilmington to, and I just got a kayak. I went to masonboro loop, which was coll, but I didn't try fishing there. I just started fishing, do you know a good place to go kayak fishing around here? How deep would you say that is the best for fishing? Sorry to bug you, just really want to learn more about it. Thanks

You're able to keep one per day within the slot of 18"-27". Fishing is picking up strong!

I have a sit in kayak can i install a Flushmount rod holder or is that just for sit on tops because I always see them on sit on tops Thanks Matt

@danishconsumer - a better option to the tube flush mount holders is a flush mount receptacle from Scotty, which will accept various rod holders and allow you to change positions and angles of rod placement. Scotty 244.

@danishconsumer - the video was from the Bradly Creek area. I'd look for Specks up in the creeks and by the jetty wall and Reds in shallow marshes -Good Luck!
