Don't be a pretentious douchebag. I'm sure you think Slipknot is the most brutal (and best) band ever, don't you? Just because it's Corey behind the mic doesn't mean that it has to be "angry." There's nothing wrong with making softer stuff. Metal isn't the epitome of music. What's wrong with bands like Shinedown anyways? Just because they aren't heavy, they are considered a "pussy band"? Shows how much you know about music.
