Actually, the SNK side wasn't just KOF. Hell, only 7 KOF characters were on the SNK side, compared to the 20 Street Fighter characters Capcom dished out. Characters like Terry and Ryo ain't originally KOF, so they don't count as KOF characters. If anything, CvS is Street Fighter Plus 4 Guests vs. SNK.

Guy wasn't really random.
He's Ginzu's partner in NxC, so he assists Captain Commando during Captain Storm and Captain Sword.
