Thank you Lucy. Just making this video means a lot to me, your story means a lot to me.

I love your message ! I am myself trying to get back on my feet after being called a monster and such things, being harrassed at school because I didn't fit in the "standard" boxes. It's still a bit hard, to be confident, to trust people again, but I fight for this, cause I don't want to let them win. And thankfully, I find in sewing something I like that help me see that I can do things and that i'm not worthless and good for nothing as I thought before. Thank you for this !

For years, I have been battling depression on and off. I'm almost constantly on edge and I struggle to keep average grades because of it. I finally gave in after being begged for 2 and half years by my boyfriend and am getting therapy. Your story really touched me <3 I have thought about killing myself before and I HAVE tried... but I was too scared to go through with it.

Thank you so much for posting this! I myself have suffered from depression for many years, Sometimes it just feels hopeless even when i know there are good things in life. I tried to end my life but thankfuly i was not successful. I still battle with it every day and it is so hard. I am so sorry your friend decided ending her life was what she had to do. You are a great caring person for seing how important this is!
But... I am going crazy. :/ I wish I could allow myself to be normal, it is a living hell.

Hi, what type of doctor can properly diagnose a person for depression?
Twoosy 2 months ago in playlist Understanding Depression and Suicide Prevention
@Twoosy A family doctor is able to diagnose depression and prescribe treatment (not always drugs; they might prescribe exercise, vitamin supplements, light therapy, or counselling depending on the cause of the patient's depression). However a general practitioner may give you a referral to a specialist (psychiatrist, etc) who can properly diagnose the patient's specific type of depression, since there are so many different kinds.

Hi. I just found your channel today and I love it. I just want to say that I didn't know your friend, even though we went to the same school, but it hurts to know someone close to home was hurting that much. It's scary, you never expect something like this to happen to people around you. It makes me realize where all of our lives have taken us a few years out of high school, some of us married, some are successful, and some of us aren't even here any more. It puts a lot in perspective. Thanks

@UrCanadianSister Thank you so much. It's true, suicide of a loved one (or even the premature death of a loved one) is one of those things that you can never really prepare for. We went to the same school? Send me a message, I'd love to get in touch. :)
