Well in this video and the many others I have made, you will be able to take a virtual drive around the city of Derby's streets as though you were in the driving seat. I use a dash-mounted camera, Traffic lights and heavy traffic have been edited out.

Osmaston Park Road look different to 50/60s, I dont know if its still there, but there used to be a park area with a massive crater that we used to slide down into on bits of tin. I dont know if it was a bomb crater from the war or not

Was that Osmaston Park? OR the area thats now Sainsburys? or perhaps the Barracks?

Bought me some tears! Having lived in derby for three years. Couldn't believe that start of film, Ashbourne Rd, where i lived! I have noticed that travellers rest pub put up for sale sign and is it closed?

The Travellers Rest pub (185 Ashbourne Rd) does not look like its closed, The sign is a "For Lease" sign.

If you at Osmaston Park on Google Earth etc there is clump of trees with a clear part in the centre of them, that is where i remember the crater being

Looking at google maps it was definately Osmaston Park, I dont think it was all that far back from the road, I remember on more than one occasion when slideing down coming off and going into the nettles, lol
