Habitable Planets - Monika Kress (SETI Talks)

Habitable planets must not only reside in a narrow range of distances from their stars, but they also must contain water and carbon. This is easier said than done. In this talk, Dr. Kress will discuss the chemistry in protoplanetary disks, and the physical processes by which earth-like planets form. In particular, Dr. Kress will focus on how habitable planets obtain carbon and water, the key ingredients for life.

@Zurround100 yes this most likly is the case,I don't think it happens a lot,but were surely not alone.Most people don't give much truth to UFO,UAP,s my thought is that maybe their is some truth to it,their time traveler's,working within the rules that govern the universe,they can only observe,no interaction is allowed.how about the WOW signal,just maybe,all the marker's were there.

it is very likely that the nearest worlds with intelligent life are thousands of light years away, unlike STAR TREK it is very possible that the human race will NEVER make contact. Its a sad thought.

@polymath7,What i meant was,had we put all our planets resources into space exploration from day one.We should have been a space faring species by now,also the current technowlogy today makes that possible, have man really chosen to do so.Forget fighting with each other & focous on just that,Man is capable of anything if he does not set himself up to fail.As allways be good to yourself & others. its a start. action must be taken now.
