Hellium 3 is the required fuel for fusion reactors. Hellium 3 is extremely rare on earth but the moon is covered with it.

There is one and it's called hellium 3. If we'd started exploring Moon first Euro would became new reserve currency of the World. The stakes are high!

No reason for manned space launch for Europeans, unless commercial interests override the political ones.
