great song that I wrote before Midway's 2011-2012 football season the year before we went 10-0 regular season but lost 19-10 in the 3rd round of the state playoffs to denton ryan high school

heading into next season expectations were high we had a few tough games including a 38-21 loss to belton and a 26-24 loss to waco high but we still went 8-2 regular season and went to the playoffs we won our 1st two playoff games by scores of 35-13 and 42-7 and then we faced denton ryan in a rematch of our only loss the previous year... they were undefeated but we came our strong!!! we had a pick 6 and our kicked had 4 field goals one from 52 yards away to help give us a 19-7 winwe won our next playoff game 54-34 and in the semi finals breezed past john tyler who were on an 11 game win streak we beat then 51-20 thanks to a big 2nd half and our school went to our 1st state championship in cowboy stadium... our players gave it their all but in the end we fell to lake travis 22-7 we could not stop their drive for 5 straight state championships... but we did our best and will be back next year to win it all
