The kid has a great voice. It isn't developed yet, but it is there. I wish i had a chance to sing with him too ;P

Arthur Lee (Red) Smiley joined the Army in 1942 and was seriously wounded during WW II in Sicily. He lost a lung and was hospitalized for almost two years, singing for fellow patients at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.. After his release from the Army all that great singing he did with only one lung and he played tasteful rhythm guitar and had his own signature runs and fills, but they stood out from those of other bluegrass guitarists.

Nice video. I've heard Ronnie as an adult (during the short-lived Old Dominion Barn Dance revival in the '90s and other times), not as a youth. I'm sure he appreciates this video.
