From the KCOY Film Festival. New News Director Jim Harrison brought a whole different level of blooper to KCOY. We invented many different things to go wrong. This was a far more technical, less content driven newscast. Problem was, we didn't HAVE the equipment for the technical stuff, so we did FAKE digital effects and FAKE live shots, to bring artificial news events to the show. Interviews from across the room and reporter live shots from the adjacent newsroom were common. Short time budgets kept it moving, but resulted in some rather abrupt, incomplete, fake live interviews. We start with the on air audition of completely inexperienced Larry Glenn Anderson for the weathercaster opening. Missing, perhaps lost forever, is the time when our anchor was unable to remember his own name when the teleprompter failed.
