Man , i have a question. Am looking to buy a DW 5000 but am trying to decide btween a driect drive or chain. What are the differences. Am going to the sotre soon, but am getting some opinions, thnsk man. Btw 312 really good price, u dont wana see the prices in canada

Mate... definitely go for direct drive pedal.. its more punchier thn chain drive... u get more power in ur punch... and smooth too... as most of the modern drummers choose direct drive...  and its price is also gone down now i guess then the time I bought...

My fren... i guess u are new to the music line.. besides funck and easy beat genre, there are lots of genres too within metal... its not like we only listen to such.. but we also like to take ideas from soft, progressive, rock etc types of music...

To make you further clear, have you ever heard of Download Festival with all the metal fans.. or Rock em Ring etc.. These are the places where people gather for the love of music whether its Rock, Punk, Alternative or Metal...

@brdane Just like DW 9000 is so fucking over-priced. The Tama Speed Cobra is WAY cheaper and it is better than the DW 9000.

I would rather get the Axis Longboards than the DW 9000 and both are almost the same price.

Yamaha are the most underated pedals. I can not beleive everyone talks about so many pedals but you do not hear as much about Yamaha. They are GREAT pedals. Chain drive or Direct drive. I sold my Demon Drive and went back to yamaha. Buying the Demon drive was the biggest purchas MISTAKE I ever made. It started clicking and the nut that holds the spring tensioner is plastic and just broke in half. It is WAY overpriced. Not built well enough for the money.
