Ginny Simms (1915 - 1994) is accompanied by the Royale Orchestra in this performance of Cole Porter's "Just One Of Those Things." I created this video from the LP, "An Hour of Cole Porter Tunes," issued on the Royale label (serial number 1332) sometime in the late 1940s.

I've listened to a whole load of interpretations of this song and this is by far my favourite. Ginny captures the wistful, reflective aspect of the song that many of the others simply lack allowing the jollyjollyjazzy band rhythms to dominate and override the sentiment of the words. A sensitive and tender version - thank you for uploading.
