Thought so.
Ive heard that many former LU stations still "survive" in this form as "staff halts" & emergency exits/access many years after the revenue paying passengers have long gone.
Stuff like this really facinates me about the subterrainan network of the london underground & its history.
Thanks for posting (from a former BR signalman).
Great Vid. : -)

I worked on this Station last year, its now been transformed into a Sub station as part of a Met line Upgrade to accomodate more trains. There is now an outer staircase down to the platform you see. One of the properties to the surface part of the station was originally let as a Chineses resteraunt. The Blue bridge you see above in the video has a hatch from the former resteraunt to access the 3ft void inside it. 40 matresses were found in there when construction work started.

I used to travel on this line in the 1970's and distinctly remember it was like a 'ghost' station - there was even a destination board hanging on the wall which I think was hung on the 1930's trains. This disappeared sometime in the 1980's around the time the whole place began to be covered in the omnipresent graffiti.

Am I the only noticing the rubbish by the side of the track?

Marlborough Road sub-surface station [Metropolitan] was closed in 1939 and replaced by St Johns Wood Deep Level station [Bakerloo]. The area can be accessed. But I really wouldn't, if I were you.

Marlborough Rd is featured in the film by John Betjeman called 'Metroland'.He stood on the staff halt on the left to talk about the line.

How small is that platform, prob only enough room fir a couple of people, how was that a station lol

I don't think many people used it, so they didn't think it was worth the money, perhaps?

Wow, childhood flashbacks...
At 0.33 there appears to be something constructed on the left that i would describe as a "staff halt",no doubt this is where track maintainance staff are set down & collected from passing trains,(am i correct?)

You are absolutely correct. It was originally part of the southbound platform. Slightly further to the left is the emergency exit, leading to the staircase to street level.
