@rhogy that's a good question. Why do these paranoid folks so bothered if they are gays in the military, Geez! Even in the Philippines and Japan, countries that are conservative towards gays in the military are now allowing gays to serve openly. McCain needs to get a life. I'm happy and laughing at him bcoz DADT is dead now. GREAT JOB, to the 6 Senate Repubs who voted for repeal.

@ToxicOdiousOne why do you so dislike gays in the military? Dude, get a life. I got a bunch of straight guys in the Army, Air Force, and Navy. Everyone of em has gay friends, and DUDE. They even told me, "THEY DONT CARE AT ALL." hahaha. are u a closeted gayman? like Rick Santorum...

@jusitke07 he's a sour graper, he's HYPOCRITE. He said he would in favor to end the ban 5 years ago, and he would wait the Pentagon study, but now after all, everything he wished was done. He's still crystal clear BIGOT. Im sorry, but thats the best word for him! Totally Un-American man in the Senate!

The values that I'm speaking of are the basic conservative Christian values that this country stood for since its beginning. Have you noticed lately that the concept of right and wrong have evolved (or lowered) to the point of being relative (situational ethics)? I really don't know what a modern-day minister could even preach against in his sermon without offending someone because of the descent to a more politically correct society that doesn't define good or bad?

@nossful What "values" are you talking about? Where in the Bible does it say that gays should not be able to serve in the military? With gay marriage, religious arguments could be made, and though I would disagree with them, I'd have to admit that they are at least related. Here, however, they are irrelevant. Should all "sinners" be banned, even if their sins have nothing to do with their ability to serve? Should we only admit those who are free of "sin" in order to discourage "sinful" behavior?
John McCain clearly forgot that he said about 3 years ago that when military leaders feel that it is time to repeal DADT then he would consider it. It seems that he is not even willing to consider it.

John McCain seems to be coming off as really hostile when it comes to repealing this law. Its completely obvious that he is really biased against gays or at least having gays serve openly in the military.
