This is a video of Peter gade demonstrating a forehand lob at the net

**Thank you NikolaiAndreasen for the english translation!***

The excersise I'm going to show you now is a lob from the front right corner. The most important when we're practising stuff at the net is that we have the same entry with the racket no matter which shot we're doing. If we make a lob, a cross-lob, a straight drop or a cross drop we have the same entry. You do it this way. (0:20) As you can see now, the arm is completely stretched, which it HAS to be. There are many that tend to do the opposite, but that is wrong.

The important part here is, that the grip is very loose, you are not allowed to tighten the grip. As you can see here my fingers are very loose. The reason it's very loose is so I can use the power from letting the racket fall back which is called finger power. That is what makes one able to create a lot of power with a short motion. It is something I have practised a lot since I was a child. To do this, you need to repeat the excercise a lot, and you need a partner throwing to you.

  • just the names that were origionaly in the files filename so i just used those. you should be able to clearly see what the shot is anyways.

  • it can also be called a forehand lift too doesnt have to be flick. different parts of the world different names for same shot in some cases.

  • stop thinking just in smashing.

Master back hand , cross drops , services and footwork first.

  • just cause he wants a jump smash video doesnt mean he only cares about smashing...
