Tutorial: How to sew a pleated skirt - part 1 of 2

I am a novice at this but I really find a tutorial anywhere online that takes you all the way through making a pleated skirt. So i thought I would post one of me trying my hand at making one. Note: This is how I make the skirt, and I am not sure if it is the correct way as it was my first time making this type of pleated skirt. I have made on one other type of pleated skirt.


They say these are easy once you get the hang of it and I agree.

I noticed, that she foregot to mention that if you can it's a good idea to wash the fabric before you cut it. With the blue fabric she used, I don't think you're supposeto wash it. But you could wash the balck. Look at where the price per. yard is to see how to wash it. Sorry if this seems a little rude, I'm just trying to let people know to wash fabric before you work with it. That way, when you do wash it, the sceams don't come appart.

Hee hee. My pets often get in the way when I'm cutting the fabric. Also thanks for this. I'm using the same pattern for my Baby Doll cosplay and I was getting a little confused by it.
