"I'm Still Here" is a song from Stephen Sondheim's Follies about fighting adversity, struggling, and living to tell the tale. While it's usually sung by people much older than I, it seems fitting for me at the moment, given my last year from Hell! It sure does feel good to sing it! I don't really think you need to be a specific age to sing it. We've all had more than enough trauma in our past to make us worthy of belting this song out!

I hope you enjoy and don't forget to rate and comment. Thanks for taking the time to watch. I hope I entertained you a little bit!

  • Love this video. I have seen Elaine Stritch perform this and saw Elaine Paige perform this new years weekend when I saw Folles when I was in NYC and it's cool to see this performed by a young male. Elaine Stritch said she thinks this song shouldn't be touched by anyone under 80, but I agree with your comment that we all have had enough trama in our lives that we deserve to sing this song

Thanks so much! I know what Elaine means and God knows I love her. I probably have no right singing this song, but, hey, I'm an actor and, so I can pretend to be older than I am. haha! I think it's a good song for anyone who's had any kind of a past. It's very therapeutic.

  • @ChrisRandomSinger You have EVERY right to be singing this song. I remember when Elaine Stritch introduced it she commented about hearing ladies in their 40s singing and asked "where have they been?" There are some 5 year olds that have been through more trauma than some 80 year olds. It has a powerful message and is appropriate for people of any age who have had any kind of trauma in their life.

  • @jamesteroh

haha! Yeah. She cracks me up with that line! I think everyone has something to still be here. Even the simplest think like passing an exam or getting a driver's license, etc. Every day, everyone's a survivor.

  • hey man, you are great, i was in palm springs 2 weeks ago and heard this song for the 1st time and ur interpretation is awesome!
