Flashover helmet cam

A clip I took this past weekend with my helmet cam when my department went into the flashver simulator at our fire academy. You get a good view of the heat layering the smoke from the beginning and then a quick flash at the end

that is true, it is the "Fire Helmet Cam" brand camera, but during this drill I was holding it about waist level, cause I had just got it and was concerned it would melt at the helmet level

Actually if you're going to tell people they need to know their basic fire science, you should probably know what you're talking about first. If knew what you were talking about, you would know that this is a flashover simulator, the whole point of it being able to show how 4 small pieces of particle board is enough to produce temps 900+ degrees and allow the CO and other gases and byproducts of combustion in the SMOKE to ignite, then causing a flashover.

Damn it! I've been out of academy for 8 mos, and the first PASS I heard I shook my butt without thinking, haha! (Our PASS sensor was on the back of the waist belt, Scott packs)

@FuNNy4463 You can survive a flashover, people have done it many times. You must act very quickly but you can survive. In a normal fire scenario where there are combustables that rollover would quickly turn into a flashover. This is a flashover simulator it helps firefighters distinguish how a flashover can occur.
