*Then white. Julia opened her eyes and just looked up. Was this really heaven? As she stood up in bed, she realized she was in a room. A white room. She glimpsed something on the wall and focused on it. Hospital of New Jersey. She lay back down. What a relief. She wasn't dead. But how did she get here. She slowly recounted the events of the night before and felt chock and disbelief. Had it even been the night before? How long had she stayed out cold like this? She thought of Taylor, and how worried she must be. And Nick and Joe. Well, maybe not Joe. Anyway, she had no intention speaking with them. She didn't feel like it. At least not yet. Just then the door opened. A man scarily resembling Sean Connery in his older age came in wearing a white jacket. *

Doctor (surprised and smiling): Ahhh, Ms. Julia, it's nice to see that you have finally awoken. I am Doctor Smith, please to finally meet my patient.

Julia (immediately inquisitive): Doctor, how many hours have I been like this.

Dr. Smith (nonchalant tone): Well, I'm not one for math, but something around 300 hours. Let me see here. *He opens the file on the table next to her bed. * Yes, that's about right, this is your 13th day. Almost 2 weeks. I must say, you have broken out record for someone's coma time after falling on the floor. But it may have had something to do with the hypoglycemia and the not-breathing.

*Julia's heart sank. 2 weeks, they must think I'm dead. And Joe's probably all happy now. *

Dr. Smith (continuing): I can also say you have some very caring friends. They stayed her the whole entire time, never went home, they just waited. Well, that is 3 of them did.

Julia (perking up ): Who did?

Dr. Smith (trying to remember): Well, there's 2 boys and a girl. One of the boys has this crazy curly hair, I must say I'm very jealous of. And the other one had straight hair and kept trying to cheer people up. Until he gave up.

Julia (smiling): Yep, that's Taylor, Nick and Joe. Did anyone else stop by?

Dr. Smith (thinking): Yes, your grandma did, so did some other friends of yours and this girl, Taylor did u say? An then this young man kept checking up on then and bringing them food. But his hair, one day it was straight, one day it was curly. I couldn't make it out. What's his real hair like?

*Julia thought about the young man. He had to be Kevin. The day they had met at the mall, he had seemed kind of distant and preoccupied. But she was the brother to 2 awesome boys, he had to be just as sweet as them. *

Julia (looking at the doctor): I'd like to speak to the young man, the one you were talking about. Please. His name is Kevin Jr. If he's there could you tell him to come? If not, I'd just like to wait for him. *A moment of silence * I'd like to wait alone, please.

Dr. Smith (puzzled): Um...well... ok. He normally comes around noon to bring your friends some lunch, so he should be around soon. Talking of which, I will send a nurse to bring you something to eat. I wouldn't be surprised if you've lost about 10 to 20 lbs by now.

*The Doctor walked out. Soon enough a nurse came in with a trolley and a platter of food. She seemed to be having some difficulty getting around the room. Julia looked over to the floor and saw that both sides of the bed were covered with presents/ The nurse gave up and just took the tray off the trolley and handed it to Julia. *

Nurse (monotone): Hello Julia, I'm Nurse Woods, but you can call me Carry. You better eat up before your foods gets cold. If you need anything whatsoever, just press this button on the remote and I'll come. Ok? Everything good? Alright. well i'll leave you now and maybe you should do something about all these gifts, huh?

*And then right then, the nurse walked out before Julia even had the chance to talk to her. *

I know this is probabbly so not wrth the wait, but it'll get better.
