The death of Russian ultra-nationalist leader, Imran Zakhaev, has allowed his top lieutenant, the maniacal Vladimir Makarov, to finally step out from Zakhaev's shadow & initiate a global reign of terror after the events of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare.

As we learned during the initial conflict in Modern Warfare 2, SAS Captain John Price was still alive, but imprisoned in a modern-day gulag in the Russian Far East.

But why? And how did Price become an inmate of such a hell on earth?

Now, the truth is finally out, and the story of what actually transpired can be told. Known as Operation Kingfish, and set between the events of Modern Warfare & Modern Warfare 2, this is the story of Captain John Price & the valiant members of Task Force 141 as they hunt for the most feared terrorist the world has ever known.

Captain Price actually suffers a fate even worse than death.

He is wounded, but survives this attack. Unfortunately for Price, he is taken prisoner & eventually ends up imprisoned in a Siberian Gulag, where he is continuously mistreated. Price would later be liberated from captivity by Task Force 141 & U.S. Navy SEALs in the Modern Warfare 2 mission called, "The Gulag."
