So under-rated. Im not even a big fan but concede how much better he was than pele, maradona and messi. If only a WC was in the cards for him. He would then have got his validated title as arguably the greatest

Cruyff has a good argument for being the best player ever, he was everything a footballer should be. so complete with excellent vision & a great winning mentality... Pele & Maradona were on the same level but I wouldn`t say they were better & no player playing today is as good & I include Messi in that.

was great then.. now he just talks waaay to much and didn't even seem to support the dutch lads during the WC 2010.

i think the support thing was basically because the dutch abandoned all of Cruyff's ideas, while Spain embraced them. If you looked at it, the dutch were playing a very dirty, very rough football, while Spain was the spitting image of Barca, and even Cruyff's Total Football. Cruyff was dissapointed that Holland abandoned his ideas, while he was proud Spain represented them

I guess its just an ideals thing, after all, he basically founded modern Barcelona, so i can see where his loyalty would be. Heck, id be pissed if i was dutch and he said what he said, but i can see why he did it.
