Kinda seemed like he was doing it ironically, but he should do this kinda stuff all the time.

This reminds me of that video of Jonathan Davis from Korn laying down the vocals for a new song, and "breaking down" like he used to, into tears and screaming at the end, trying to be like he was in 1994. But the trouble was it wasn't from the heart, and it wasn't the same. This is no different. Tom seems to be copying his old self, instead of this coming from a real place.
