If you look at Gainer's Highlight it is all against Hamtramck, Lutheran Westland and Cranbrook. Shrine's schedule was pretty crappy as well - who did they play? Gainer only beat out Berkseth by one vote for Defensive MVP so I wouldn't brag about that. Berkseth is only 5'9 175 but plays twice as hard as Gainer.

Amen, the real NW showed in the district final game when they lost to a good, but not great Shrine. What was NW ranked around tht time, 2nd in D8? Talk about hyped up. Most of these stats are off teams like Hamtramck where they keep the first team guys in during the whole blowout and let this over-achiver throw 5 Td's.

Look at it this way, the Metro Conference was way down last year. Clawson left, Harper Woods and Lutheran North fielded teams that were more than sub-par due to graduating all their good players. It was a down year, and Rolf and his boys got lucky enough to play crap teams the whole year and post those stats. This is the same Lutheran Northwest team that went 2-7 two years ago against decent teams in the Metro.

Cville at least put on a good game, you dont deserve to be in a district final if you cant get up to snuff. Yea gainer had a bad game, he had 2-3 fat ass lineman in his face all game, watch the film and you can see that noone can make plays like that, But guess what, hes still the Con. D. MVP and whos going to MSU on a full ride? Not rolf, berkseth, or beaureguard.

Clarenceville got smoked at home by Rolf and Lutheran Northwest. Rolf had 4 Rushing TD's in that game and made your boy Gainer look silly! The high powered offense of C'Ville only manged to put up one TD also in that game. Shrine was a much better team than Almont come on now!

i was at that playoff game and im 100% sure that if Rolf would of had about 1 or 2 more seconds in the backfield he could of made magic happen as he did in the other games...and every play in the game there was two linebackers in his face as soon as he snapped the ball...nothing he could do
