long distance never works. if i were you i would tell your friend that she should break up with him. like i mean i think that there becomes trust issues with long distance relationships and even if she trusts this guy, she needs to tell him that she needs to come back to BC and focus on whatever needs to be done here. chacnes are she will even meet a guy that is better than him. one that will just click. tell her to stay friends with this guy but dont date. its better for the both of them.

Then you have to look at how often they would be able to see each other, how often you could get in touch with that person, and how much you trust them not to cheat on you. Based on those, I beleive that the answer will still be difficult, but thats about as much as i have to say.
