Terence Mckenna speaks of 5g as an "heroic" dose, but you can experience alot on alot less as well ;)

@cohnkrad Terence also says you are not qualified to speak of the true power of mushrooms until you do 5g trips. For me 3.5g is a big dose.

@cohnkrad I say go for the full thing, after my first ones, I only do about 5 grams. I hope u people who do try, try it with the right mind. Know what kind of thing to expect. Mushrooms, LSD and these things are incredible. I want to live in it. See the world for what it really is. It is grande.

Why would I just forget Terrence because I thought 5 grams is too many? (I don't think that by the way, I know a dose of that size has its place.) That's a little silly to say such a thing. I think Terrence has a lot to offer in many arenas of spirituality and psychedelics are a part of that. I am not new to shrooms or psychedelics. Thank you for the advise though. :) My original comment was misleading I suppose. :)

@rockfate It took me about 2 months of eating shrooms everyweekend. At which point I was able to withstand the psycho trauma of eating 5-8 grams. .I would recommend this stradegem.

Just start small and work yourself up.

Also, if your doing things that arent intellectually stimulating, chances are you aren't going to open the doors of perception...

If the above sounds like too much fungus, or too much work, just forget you ever heard of Terrence McKenna.

I ate 5 grams once...

I had a great trip!

I was very distracted though, by someone having a bad trip. I think my experience would have been more spiritual without the distraction of playing babysitter to someone unable to handle it. I can remember in the beginning I experienced what I call the Alice effect. Things got stretched out huge for a little while. Plants had arteries of light flowing through them too. I could see purple hues around everyone too at times. Need to try it meditating.
