On Tuesday February 24th, 2009 the Wayland Political Action Group known as Save Our Services (a.k.a. SOS) hosted a private meeting - closed to the general Wayland public which includes the chairs or co-chairs of 5 major Wayland Boards plus the Town Administrator and the Superintendent of Schools.
Apparently the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen (Michael Tichnor) is also attending this private meeting and the Board of Selectmen seem NOT to know about the fact that their chairman is attending.
Selectman Douglas Leard, during Selectman's Concerns and Reports asks Selectman Tichnor about this meeting.
The agenda of this private meeting was published in advance and was well known to all of its private attendees.
Listen to the dialogue.

How can the Chair of the Board of Selectmen meet with a private organization, in a private home, in the middle of the day, including a number of Wayland employees in on the meeting, on the Wayland taxpayer's nickel?
