none of you dumb asses appreciate anything original everything has to be changed remade and remastered for this generation . This is bullshit. and actually makes the show look cheap. I bet you don't even notice the main intro theme was redone .Or that everything looks like its in the dark under a hard light and bad lighting job. This was the most expensive tv show back then and they made it look fuck'd.

I can guarantee Gene Roddenberry would not have allowed it if he were still alive. the right to trek get tossed around paramount now with the fresh executives. peopel act like this show needs to be saved and replaced and changed. man too fast hurts the eyes.. but ty. MY opinion here is original was better and it looked way too off lol. the show is old and vintage then you see these out there cgi inserts..its almost a parody.. I got mad they changed sound effects and completely replaced the main into music with a new singer and also score . this bothered me a lot all of it and I refused to watch it. they rushed it. Also everything is under hard light now and overly dark shadowed. at least the NG remastered not replaced.

Love the remastered trek just wish they had spent a little more time on some things. It looks good but not great. To me some of the CGI looks faker than some of the antiquated special fx from that time period.

This was really helpful. I was wondering how the remastered effects stood up. May have to pick up those box sets. I love the old cheesy feel of the original, but this just gives it that spit and polish.

Very cool. I only wished the editor had paused for at least 1 second on each shot. Several things I wanted to see but could even get it to pause without another shot fading in over it.
