Great video. I see some processing on your voice happening behind you.
What software are you using for that?
The ElectroVoice RE20 is truly an awesome microphone!

what helps the re20 get really good sound from a voice do I need a DBX 286a or do I just run a XLR right into my onyx mackie 1640i.

Great job. I really enjoyed your laid back approach. You have a terrific voice. Very friendly and authoritative. You make it look SO easy. :-) You have skills my friend. What processor do you use?

hi
The RE20 doesnt requires 48 volts. its a dynamic microphone.
i have re20 and mackie 1220i firewire mixer. im not satisfied the quality of record.
so im plannıng to buy a studio channel also. re 20 has low output also firewire ouyput is not so high as xlr analog outputs. but firewire has no noise while recording + : (

hello do you need an extra preamp for ev re20 microphone?
or directly connect mixer?
thanks for repliying...

That was great!!! I really like seeing how this stuff is done. Keep the videos coming. I can't get enough.
The RE20 requires 48 volts, and you can run this right into a mixerboard that supports 48V microphones with the built in preamp they have.
