There is a huge misconception about where the power is created in the golf swing, Some say it's the shoulder turn, leg drive, pivot, arm swing and hips .... All of these contribute to power but biggest contribution comes from the wrist hinge. This provides the whip at the bottom of the swing arc. Without this key component the swing will have a clumsy off balance look that wi;; effect not only power but accuracy and quality of strike. Well worth getting right!

  • The wrist hinge is a key part of the kinetic sequence where a large proportion of the power is delivered. This accumulator is present in woods and irons alike. If the golfer moves well and creates the correct impact alignment then the ball strike will be not only be solid and consistent but he will also deliver the club at great speed. Please see any Hogan video for exemplary wrist hinge, lag and strike with solid impact alignment.

  • bullsht this probably just for the driver, with an iron you will have poor contact
