Think of Aikmen you think of Emmit Smith "moose" Michael Irvin and the rest of that beast ass offense. I think with everything Romo has had to endure, and all the nagging he has had to put up with, if he is given a chance - just one chance - I don't think there is any way he won't do his part. He is playing the best football of his life. He just moved into the number 3 position for the highest rated quarterbacks in the history of the National Football League, and his passer rating for the season is in the triple digits.

Unfortunately, thanks to the defense, he won't get that chance.

@ringsidechampvergil I don't "bitch" about Romo...I've seen three decades of Cowboys quarterbacks, and Romo doesn't have a killer instinct attitude, nor does he have the poise to take it to the next level when the season goes into playoff mode. He folds.

He's been playing well as of late, in fact damn well, but he doesn't have that killer drive or attitude to take it over the top. Sorry he just doesn't.

@ringsidechampvergil Oh hell no, you don't get WHY those comparisons are being made. It's not about putting down Romo by just saying previous Cowboy quarterbacks were better than him.

It's about damn leadership, and your ATTITUDE towards the game. All those other quarterbacks LED their team on the field, AND off the field with their attitude. Romo does NOT do that.

Running game or not, all those other quarterbacks were more mature as men and as players.

You can love Romo all you want.

@THEABRAMSMBT Yeah, and they're 8 and 6 now and have lost their division advantage to the Giants. What a difference a month makes huh?

But I'll admit, the last four or five games Romo has been playing as well as I've ever seen him, he's doing all he can to help the Cowboys win. It's the defense that's just not playing at a winning level, they suck. And the def. coaching sucks.

Ironic now that Romo shows some signs of being a championship level quartback, the f'n defense starts to blow it.
