Roger Powell, former keyboardist for Utopia and David Bowie tells us of Bob Moog's importance in his career. Roger speaks out about the Bob Moog Foundation, and the effort to preserve Bob's archives. Thanks Roger!!
Anybody remember when Roger was a resident at "Arp Instruments" before he ran off to "Moog music" he did a whole album using all "Arp" synthesizers, called "Cosmic Furnace" anybody got a copy of it???.
If you're begging Roger, I suggest you ask those who have made a living from Bob Moog's work (e.g. Mr. R. Powell), and also, those who are much richer than the average rock fan (e.g. Mr. R. Powell).
ROGER POWELL-Where are "SANDS of ARAKIS" or "MORNING CHORUS"? I used to listen to your albums as I got ready for work back in the seventies and eighties and even this morning....wish I could find them on CD.....Saw all your UTOPIA shows when you guys came to the BAY AREA...An ETERNAL FAVORITE...
You know, it would probably double the coolness and effectiveness of this campaign by teaming up with Greg Hawkes. That would be a great double whammy.
Also Roger, I would love to see you here on YouTube playing guitar, as you do locally, according to an article that I have read. Talk about analog!
@myleftnutts - just was a bunch of copies on ebay.
